From Needs Analysis to Competency Frameworks

The Fintech and Business Analytics (FintechBa) Workshop, hosted by Powislanski University, marked a significant step forward in the ERASMUS-EDU-2023-EMJM-DESIGN project. Building upon the initial Kick-off Meeting, this workshop primarily aimed to translate the conducted needs analyses into a robust competency framework essential for the development of the joint Master's program.

Participants engaged in intensive sessions focused on analyzing survey data, understanding foundational competency frameworks, and beginning the drafting process for both Finance and Technology competency structures. This collaborative effort is crucial for designing a curriculum that aligns with industry demands and academic excellence.

Experts from various partner institutions led key sessions, sharing their insights and guiding the collaborative development processes

University of Sousse (Tunisia)

Contribution : Led discussions on understanding competency frameworks, teaching syllabus templates, EMJM and new accreditation criteria, and financial management.

Helwan University (Egypt)

Contribution:

Presented survey responses and findings, and contributed to benchmarking with international standards for competency framework refinement.

Powislanski University (Poland)

Competency Framework Drafted

Significant progress was made in drafting both the Finance and Technology Competency Frameworks, based on in-depth survey data analysis and collaborative discussions.

Accreditation Insights Gained

Discussions on EMJM and new accreditation criteria provided crucial guidance for the Master's program development.

Implementation Strategy Outlined

A clear roadmap for integrating the competency framework into the curriculum design and aligning learning outcomes was established.

The workshop concluded with a plan for finalizing the framework document and defining the subsequent steps for implementation, accreditation, and dissemination of the Master's program. This workshop serves as the 2nd Workshop in the project's timeline, preceding the 3rd Workshop at Madeira University.
